These are the perfect holiday bites to serve at your next party - for a light appetizer, healthy snack or dessert! Cinnamon, pears, creamy cheese and maple syrup...what more is there to love!
Prep time: 10 minutes
3 ripe pears, chopped
Juice from half a lemon
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 tbsp pure maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 small package of plain goat cheese, softened (can also use plain whipped cream cheese – it spreads easier)
Whole grain baguette, sliced
In a medium bowl, add pears and squeeze lemon juice on top to prevent browning. Toss well.
Add walnuts, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir all ingredients together.
Spread cheese onto a slice of baguette.
Spoon pear mixture on top of cheese.
