These banana snowmen are a healthy snack that provide a good source of potassium, fibre and antioxidants. After everything is chopped invite the kids to help with assembling!

Makes 6 Snowmen

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • ¼ of a carrot or 6 carrot match sticks
  • 15 currents, dried blueberries or mini chocolate chips
  • 3 strawberries or half of an apple
  • 6 skewers
  • 12 pretzels sticks (optional)
  • 6 blueberries, grapes or mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the bananas into 9 thick slices each
  2. Dice carrot to create shape of the nose or use match stick carrots
  3. Core the strawberries and cut in half or cut the piece of apple into 6 triangles hats
  4. To assemble, thread a strawberry or apple piece followed by 3 slices of banana on to each skewer. Gently press the currents/dried blueberries/mini chocolate chips into the banana to create eyes and the buttons on the body. Finally add the carrot nose
